About St. Pete Window Replacement

A window company that works one county, pulls every permit and gives you the price in writing before anything is ordered.

One county, done properly

We install windows in St. Petersburg and the rest of Pinellas, and nowhere else. That is deliberate. It means the crew knows which neighborhoods are block and which are frame, how the permit desks in St. Pete, Gulfport, Pinellas Park and the beach towns each work, and which HOA boards want color and tint approved before the order goes in.

It also means we are a short drive away if something needs looking at after the job.

The houses we work on

Pinellas has some of the oldest housing on Florida’s Gulf Coast, and it shows in the windows. A normal month for us takes in a 1920s bungalow in Old Northeast with wood sashes painted shut, a 1960s block ranch in Pinellas Park still on its original aluminum single-hungs, and a condo on the beach where the board has a written specification for every frame.

Each one needs something different. The bungalow needs trim work that respects the house. The ranch needs the most glass for the money. The condo needs a clean board package and the right rating for its floor. We would rather explain those differences than sell every customer the same window.

How we price

Someone measures every opening, shows you the frame and glass options with the real cost difference between them, and leaves a written price the same visit. That number includes the permit and the inspection. It does not move afterwards.

If we open a wall and find rotten framing — uncommon, but it happens in older St. Pete homes — you see a photograph and a price before we go any further.

Why we publish our prices

Almost no window company in Pinellas puts a number on its website. The reason given is that every house is different, which is true — and also convenient, because it means you cannot compare anything until someone is sitting in your kitchen.

We publish ranges instead, and they are honest brackets rather than a low number designed to get a visit. A standard vinyl single-hung in non-impact glass is $550 to $850 installed. The same window impact-rated is $900 to $1,400. If your house falls outside those ranges we will tell you why before we come out, not after. The full breakdown is on the pricing page.

From first call to closed permit

Every job follows the same path, and you always know which step you are on.

  1. The call. We ask what you have, roughly how many openings, and whether an HOA or condo board is involved. Then we book a measure at a time that suits you.
  2. The measure. Under an hour for most homes. You see samples, hear the options in plain terms and get your written price before we leave.
  3. The order. Windows are built to your sizes, which usually takes three to five weeks. While they are being made we file the permit and any board paperwork.
  4. Install day. One to two days for a typical house. Floors and furniture are covered, openings are done one at a time, and the old units leave with us.
  5. The inspection. We meet the inspector, and the labels stay on the glass until the final inspection passes. Then you get the closed permit and the product approval numbers in one folder, ready for your insurer.

Things we won’t do

  • Work without a permit. Window replacement here legally needs one. An unpermitted window surfaces when you sell and can cost you a wind-mitigation credit.
  • Quote a price over the phone. We will give you an honest range, and the ranges on this site are real. The actual number needs someone to measure.
  • Sell impact glass to someone who does not need it. Non-impact plus approved shutters is a legitimate route and sometimes the right one. We price both.
  • Leave your house open overnight. Openings are done one at a time and closed the same day.
  • Show up unannounced. We call first, every time, and arrive when we said we would.

Where we work

All of St. Petersburg, from downtown and Old Northeast to Shore Acres and the Snell Isle waterfront, plus Gulfport, Pinellas Park, Treasure Island, St. Pete Beach, Tierra Verde, Seminole, Largo and Clearwater. There is no travel charge anywhere in the county.

Who you’ll actually meet

Window work in this county has been this crew’s trade since 1998. The business changed hands in 2016 and is now run by a local family, who kept the installers and the habits that built its name: one crew per job, employees rather than day labor, and nothing left half finished overnight.

Most of what we install is made in Florida. We are a certified PGT dealer, so a PGT warranty question gets handled here in Pinellas instead of through a distant call center, and we also fit CGI, WinDoor and Custom Window Systems products when a home needs a different look or budget.

Two more things worth knowing. If your home was built before 1978, our installers are trained and certified under the EPA’s lead-safe rules, so old painted frames come out the right way. And the company has been accredited with the Better Business Bureau since 2016.

Licensing and insurance

We are licensed and insured in Florida, and the license is carried on every permit we pull. We hold a Florida certified general contractor license (CGC1540931) and a certified specialty contractor license (SCC131153274), both active through 2028. Liability and workers’ compensation insurance are current, and we will send the certificate before the job without being asked twice.
